Checks
- ✓ Whether the code exists in UN/CEFACT Recommendation 20 (2,100+ codes)
- ✓ Full unit name, symbol, quantity category (length, mass, volume, etc.)
- ✓ Whether the code is active, deprecated, or marked for deletion
- ✓ Suggests the correct Rec 20 code for common aliases (e.g. "kg" to KGM)
- ✓ Fuzzy matching against all code names for near-misses
Does not check
- ✗ Whether the unit code is appropriate for a specific product attribute
- ✗ ETIM or ECLASS unit code mappings
- ✗ Conversion factors between units
- ✗ UN/CEFACT Recommendation 21 (units for packaging)
