EULUMDAT and IES LM-63 photometric data files

What this tool checks

Checks

  • Format auto-detection (EULUMDAT vs IES by extension or content)
  • EULUMDAT: line count, numeric fields, symmetry vs C-plane consistency
  • EULUMDAT: DFF and LORL in 0-100% range, angles in valid ranges
  • IES: valid IESNA header line, TILT line present
  • IES: correct count of vertical angles, horizontal angles, and candela values
  • Both: monotonically increasing angle arrays, non-negative physical quantities
  • Extracts summary metadata (luminaire name, manufacturer, dimensions, flux)

Does not check

  • Photometric accuracy (whether candela values are physically plausible)
  • Compliance with specific luminaire performance standards
  • CIE flux code calculations
  • Whether the distribution matches the luminaire type claim
  • 3D visualization of the light distribution

Photometric files sitting outside the product record?

Rastro's lighting data AI agent validates IES and LDT files, extracts the useful specs, and feeds structured values back into luminaire data at scale.
